Jeneen Robinson
Robinson, 40, grew up in Virginia and moved to Los Angeles about 10 years ago. She lives in Westchester and has a son attending a district school in the 4th grade. A former entertainment news journalist, Robinson is a youth minister at Grant AME Church in Watts and has served on various parent committees in LAUSD, such as Parents as Equal Partners. She penned a recent oped against since-tabled AB 5 in the Daily News: Assembly Bill 5 hurts our kids
Asked about her opponent, Mr. Zimmer, Robinson replied, “Well, he’s doing his job based on who’s supporting him – the unions.” She added: “I think we need a stronger leader, someone who can make this district more progressive in our reform efforts.”
Robinson set up a Robinson for School Board Facebook page about a month ago. As we reported previously, Kate Anderson is also considering a run for District 4 (See: Possible Board Candidates: District 4).
