The Los Angeles City Clerk’s Office may not announce the final roster of LAUSD Board candidates until as late as December 15, but here are the candidates who are qualified and/or awaiting final approval to run for school board:

LA School Report will post the final lineup of LAUSD Board candidates once the City Clerk’s Office announces it within the next 10 days.

In District 2 (Central LA), incumbent School Board President Monica Garcia, Robert D. Skeels, and Isabel Vazquez have all qualified to run. Annamarie Montanez, Eleanor Garcia, Scott Folsom, and Abelardo Diaz have submitted signatures that have yet to be counted.

In District 4 (Westside), incumbent Board Member Steve Zimmer and Kate Anderson have qualified. Jeneen Robinson and Samuel Whitehead have submitted signatures that will be counted within 10 days.

For the open seat in District 6 (East San Fernando Valley), Maria Cano, Antonio Sanchez, Ernie Cardenas, and Monica Ratliff have submitted enough signatures to be on the ballot in March. Signatures still need to be counted for prospective candidate Iris Zuniga.
