Grammy Camp!

The Grammy Museum earlier this month hosted nearly 200 high school students from across the country to participate in its week-long Grammy Camp.

The national program ran in three cities this year: Los Angeles, the hub of the program; Miami and New York.

The L.A. camp offers seven tracks for students to pursue, production, songwriting, music business, film scoring, ensembles and vocals.

“Our counselors are very representative of the industry, in fact all of them are out there in the industry in many different capacities,” Arin Canbolat, Grammy Museum’s Vice President of Education, said.

In addition to a counselor team of business executives, artists Aly & AJ, GALE and Reneé Rapp made appearances, performing for and mentoring the attendees.

“I’ve come here to experiment as much as I can, collaborate with as many people as I can,” said songwriting student Joshua Jongejan, “with all different backgrounds and walks of life.”
