The education nonprofit EdSource has scheduled a May 4 San Jose symposium on statewide education issues that’s intended to “help the public and policymakers make sense of the complex issues facing educators.”

Topics of discussion will be the Common Core standards (rigorous standards matched to international levels) and the proposed school funding formula rewrite that Governor Brown has endorsed.  Stanford professor Linda Darling-Hammond will keynote. Register and see agenda details here.
